Known as the arts district in San Antonio, Texas, Southtown is the best neighborhood to visit in San Antonio. San Antonio Fire Museum is one of San Antonio’s hidden gems. It only started as a dream of five firefighters that were assigned together at old #19 station in 1997. It has become one of the most notable Fire Museums in the country.

The River Walk

Briscoe Western Art Museum

Nestled on the banks of the San Antonio River Walk is the museum’s main building that was once San Antonio’s original public library during the 1930s. The museum is named in honor of Texas Governor Dolp Briscoe Jr., and his wife Janey Slaughter Briscoe.

Sisters Grimm Ghost Tours

Take a peek inside the Menger Hotel, considered the “Most Haunted Hotel in Texas,” and just a few walks away you will find the Emily Morgan Hotel, one of the city’s first hospitals where many women and men lost their lives. You can also explore the San Fernando Cathedral where people were buried within the walls and visitors claim to see faces mysteriously appear.
